The short version
Last updated 6 September 2026
One More Year is a free browser game operated by [operating entity or individual]. By playing it you accept the terms below. If you do not, please do not play.
It is fiction
Every life the game generates is invented by a random number generator. Names, countries, families, jobs, illnesses and deaths are simulated and carry no meaning outside the game. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.
The game depicts illness, ageing and death as part of its subject matter. Nothing in it is medical, financial, legal, or life advice and none of it should be read as a prediction about anyone.
Your saved lives are not backed up
Saved lives are tied to a cookie in one browser. Clearing that cookie, switching browsers, or using another device will lose access to them, and we may delete stored data at any time without notice. Please treat the game as disposable entertainment rather than something to keep.
Fair use
You agree not to:
- enter unlawful, abusive, hateful, or deliberately identifying content into the name field
- automate, scrape, overload, or otherwise attempt to disrupt the service
- attempt to access lives belonging to another player, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission
We may remove content or block access if you do. Security issues are welcome — report them to [contact email].
No warranty
The game is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, lose your data, or be discontinued at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it.
Changes and governing law
We may revise these terms; the date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continuing to play means accepting the revision. These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction].
